Eagle County Schools’ administration is top-heavy?

ECS just needs to tighten its belt like every other company/ industry in the county.

Taxes are too high already in a tight economy.

Mill Levy Override funds will go to the state, like all other education taxes.

ECS should not seek a Mill Levy Override, given the poor poll results.

An Override should end when the recession ends.

Action Steps:

This is a difficult campaign to run especially in a tax-adverse climate.  The political calculation is that the next probable window (avoiding what would appear to be a contentious national election in 2012) is 2013.  By then, a lot of damage could be done to the financial underpinnings of the school district’s ability to continue on the path of delivering improving academic results.
